Its color is a warm garnet red with ruby glints when it is young, which verge on orange with age. It has a very complex bouquet, with scents of flowers and ripe fruits, and pleasantly spicy hints. It marries with braised or roast meat and mature cheese. Serve at room temperature (18-20°C).
